Kayla Kreimann went back into the libero jersey Monday night, and Colony served at her all night long.
Sixteen times, in a three-set match at home, the ball came to Alta Loma's No. 4. Ten of those passes were graded perfect by HUDL — a single-match season high, one more than the nine she put up against South Hills on Sept. 29. The 16 attempts were a season high too. Her passer rating on the night was 2.25, and 11 of the 16 kept the Lions in system. The one error was a serve that clipped the tape and dropped in front of her.
Colony took the match 2–1. The Lions won a set off a team that beat them in September and pushed it to three.

The libero line
It was Kreimann's third full match at libero this season, and the first since Sept. 29. Each one has been better than the last on the passing sheet: 2.00 at Colony on Sept. 23, 2.15 against South Hills on Sept. 29, 2.25 on Monday. Across the three, she has taken 42 serves, passed 25 of them perfect — 60 percent — and recorded 22 digs.
She added eight digs Monday, matching her total in the first Colony match, and two assists on five second-ball sets without a ball-handling error. From the service line she put eight of nine serves in play.
Two matches, one direction
The night continued a run that started a week earlier. After a four-attempt match at San Dimas on Sept. 30 that did not go her way, Kreimann has taken 31 serves in two matches and passed a 2.19 on them — 18 perfect, two errors. Her season passer rating has climbed back to 2.04, and half of everything served at her this season has now been graded perfect.
The season, through 20 matches
Through 20 matches and 42 sets, Kreimann is passing a 2.04 on 133 attempts — 50 percent perfect, 66 percent in system, 17 errors. She has 23 aces on 133 serves (90 percent in play), 75 digs with no dig errors, and 35 out-of-system setting attempts without an error.
